Successful title for your website

It is important to have a good title for your site since most often people will decide by reading it whether to visit your site or not. There are a few things you should consider:

  1. Use a title, if you can, that puts you at the very beginning alphabetically, since most guides and directories list pages alphabetically. Also, numbers and symbols are listed before letters.
  2. Keep your title short and to the point. It should only provide enough information to make people interested.
  3. A good way to entice people is to offer something for free (the use of the world free is eye-catching in a title or description).
  4. Don't use grossly misleading marketing statements because the visitors will resent you for them and it will cause more harm than benefit in the long run.
  5. You can change the old title for a new, better one, which being a novelty will attract attention.
